Kyuanji Temple

From mid-June, as Japan’s monsoon season begins, the temple bursts with vibrant hydrangea. Of course, you’ve heard of the sakura or cherry blossoms that Japan is so famous for, but you absolutely have to see the hydrangea season as well. June is the best month by far to experience these beautiful flowers that rival the Sakura in terms of beauty and variety. This temple has an enchanting pond adorned with floating hydrangea blossoms, adding to its charm and making it the perfect place to check out this seasonal delight. Stroll through the serene grounds, where shades of blue, pink, and purple paint the landscape. Kyuanji Temple offers a fantastic retreat for anyone looking for a beautiful, peaceful time.

Art enthusiasts visiting Osaka can explore the art exhibition by the renowned artist MUU, conveniently located within the Art Hotel Osaka Bay Tower. Just a short distance from Bentencho Station, this exhibition offers a glimpse into MUU’s fantasy world, brought to life through his beautiful artwork. “My Old Man,” tells a heartwarming tale of an elderly man who embarks on a journey around the world with his companions, seeking solace in painting the cherished memories of his lost loved one. MUU’s unique painting method, known as “Glitter Painting,” adds an enchanting sparkle to each artwork, enhancing the emotional depth of his vision. With free entry to the exhibition, you can easily immerse yourself in this enchanting world of beauty and nostalgia. The exhibit has been open since April, and June is the LAST month that you’ll be able to check it out, so any art lovers should head to Osaka Bay Tower as soon as they can so as not to miss out!

Dedicated visitors can book an extra ticket to the exhibition alongside their adventures at Hirakata Park.
