Asakusa Twilight Tour – Evening

Asakusa is one of Japan’s must-see spots-taste the flavors of this historic neighborhood!

Asakusa is a dreamlike vision at twilight, where history and tradition come alive under the soft glow of lanterns and shop lights. While this district is bustling to the point of bursting by day, the evening unveils a more intimate, magical side.

Step into the past as you wander through Nakamise Street, where the scent of freshly grilled senbei (rice crackers) drifts through the air. Try a beloved local snack and hear stories of pilgrims and travelers who have visited this area for over 1,000 years. Venture into hidden alleyways and retro backstreets, discovering charming shops and old-world izakayas serving up ice-cold beer and savory small plates.

On famous Hoppy Street, enjoy a seasonal local dinner with perfectly paired drinks as your guide shares insider tips on Japanese food culture and ordering etiquette. Taste a variety of regional flavors—each dish telling a story of its own.

No visit to Asakusa is complete without seeing Sensoji Temple, but at night, the experience is pure magic. Without the crowds, the illuminated pagoda and temple gates create an unforgettable sight, peaceful yet awe-inspiring.

Let your expert local guide lead you on a journey through time, flavors, and stories, making delicious memories in one of Tokyo’s most iconic neighborhoods. This isn’t just a tour—it’s an experience you won’t forget!

For Vegetarians:

Some food that we serve may have dashi, a soup stock made from kelp (seaweed) and bonito (skipjack tuna) as well as other ingredients. Dashi is the cornerstone of Japanese cuisine and is used in many/most Japanese dishes. Please note that we may not be able to accommodate your dietary needs if you cannot consume dashi. Additionally, please inform us if you can eat eggs and dairy products.

If you cannot consume Dashi, we recommend booking a private tour with us and we can offer some alternatives. Again, be aware, it will still be a challenge to 100% avoid fish stock.
