
Spencer is originally from Houston, Texas but now calls Kyoto home. Growing up in the Houston food scene, he loved being able to enjoy food culture from every continent and considers food one of the best ways to immerse yourself in a new culture. (To this day, anytime he visits a new country, making a supermarket run is first on his list!) Since first coming to Japan at age 14, he has wanted to show his gratitude to so many teachers and mentors in Kyoto by sharing the knowledge he was taught with tourists from all over the world.
