Kanji was born and raised in Tokyo, where he has lived for over 30 years. While working as a test engineer, he was inspired to become a tour guide to share the joy of travel and the deeper beauty of Japanese culture with visitors from around the world.
He has been passionate about cooking since childhood and specializes in Japanese cuisine. A fan of local craft beer, he also enjoys pairing it with his culinary creations.
Kanji has traveled across Europe, particularly to Germany, which he has visited six times on backpacking adventures. These experiences have given him a strong appreciation for cultural exchange and connection.
He is also deeply interested in Japanese spirituality and enjoys introducing guests to places that reflect the quiet essence of Japan, from ancient temples and shrines to serene natural settings.
