Cometic Multi Layer MLS for '94 to '97 Mazda Miata with steel diesel engines. The Cometic MLS gasket is comprised of three layers of stainless steel. Cometic uses stainless steel for added strength, rebound ability and Corrosion resistance.The gasket layers are embossed and coated on both sides with a flouroelastometer based rubber material (Viton) designed to meet the demands of a wide variety of severe sealing, loading and finishing environments. The Viton coating is heat resistant up to 250Â C or 482Â F. The core or uncoated gasket layer is a stainless steel layer, which can be varied to suit various requirements. thick. The MLS gasket is ideal for both aluminum header to cast iron blocks and aluminum header to aluminum blocks. The strength composition of MLS will also resist shearing created by aluminum header blocks in molten iron. No re-torquing necessary. By design, the MLS Gasket encourages an even sealing torque across the entire loading surface allowing for reduced distortion measurement diameters.
