You will begin your tour with a special overview of this district. Explore the Namise street, try a famous Japanese snack, and learn about how pilgrims and tourists have been coming here for more than 1000 years. Have a seasonal lunch with your guide and learn about food customs and ordering tips that you can use throughout your time in Japan.

Next stop explore the theater and traditional side streets. Stop off and learn about speciality foods from all across Japan. Head over to a dessert shop that has been making a famous pastry since 1945 we can also enjoy a Matcha (green tea) experience at this cozy spot. We will share a hidden secret of Sensoji temple and . See all the important sites and make delicious memories with your local guide sharing information about this amazing “shitamachi” or downtown neighborhood.

We are sorry to say that if you are not able to arrive at the meeting point by the departure time, the tour will start regardless and no refund will be provided. We are also unable to accommodate meeting up in any of the food stops once you’ve missed the start of the tour.

Meeting Location

The meeting point is in front of the  Asakusa Culture and Tourism Center (浅草文化観光センター)

2 Chome-18-9 Kaminarimon, Taitō-ku

Our guide will be holding an Arigato Japan sign. There is walking on the tour so please wear comfortable shoes.
On rainy days, we recommend bringing an umbrella. They can be easily purchased at any convenience store.
